If you’re a vegan, chances are good that you’ve been asked some version of the following questions: “But how do you get your protein?” “Where do you get your calcium?” and, perhaps most importantly, “Do vegans taste better down there?”
It’s the last question that we’re going to focus on today. Because, really, who doesn’t want to know if their diet makes them taste better in bed? Let’s explore the research on this topic to see what we can find out.
The jury is still out on whether or not vegans taste better down there. However, there is some anecdotal evidence that suggests that they might. For example, one study found that men who ate a vegan diet for two weeks reported that their semen tasted sweeter than it did before they made the switch to a plant-based diet.
In addition, a small study from 2017 found that women who followed a vegan diet for three months reported higher levels of satisfaction with their sex lives than women who didn’t follow a vegan diet. They also reported more frequent orgasms. While this study was very small and needs to be replicated with a larger sample size, it’s still an intriguing finding.
Finally, there is some evidence to suggest that vegans might last longer in bed. A study from 2018 found that men who followed a plant-based diet for three months had significantly lower levels of erectile dysfunction than men who didn’t follow a plant-based diet. This finding is in line with other research showing that following a healthy diet can improve sexual function in both men and women.
So, what have we learned? Well, we probably need more scientific research here, however, there is some evidence to suggest that vegans might last longer in bed and that they might have higher levels of satisfaction with their sex lives. If you’re looking to improve your sex life, switching to a vegan diet might be worth a try!
